Assessor
The Town Assessor’s duties and responsibilities are determined by the New York State Real Property Tax Law and include the preparation of the annual assessment role; administration of the complaint (grievance)/tax certiorari procedure; administration of exemptions; administration of the STAR program; and management of the continuous town-wide revaluation effort.

Clerk
The Town Clerk is the: Receiver of Taxes (Town, county, special assessment, school); licensing officer for the sale of licenses and permits (e.g., dog, marriage, conservation, games of chance, bingo); Sub-Registrar of Vital Statistics for producing burial permits and for cemetery sales; Coordinator with the Monroe County Board of Elections to prepare election districts and provide election inspectors for general and primary elections in Irondequoit; and Records Management Officer for the retention and disposition of all Town documents including the proceedings of the Town Board.

Community Development
The Department of Community Development (Development Services) oversees commercial and residential development in the Town of Irondequoit to ensure all applicable regulations are met regarding building construction, fire prevention, property maintenance, land use, planning, and zoning.

Comptroller
While the Town Supervisor is designated as the Chief Fiscal Officer under New York State town law, the Comptroller is directly responsible for daily financial operations such as accounting, auditing and approving claims for payment; preparing periodic financial reports; preparing for the financing of capital improvements through debt issues, and much more.

Irondequoit Cable Access Television (ICAT)
Irondequoit Cable Access Television (ICAT) is committed to the value of community television, consistently delivering local alternatives to commercial broadcast television. ICAT is a window to the Irondequoit community. We provide a voice for local diversity and expression.

Library
The Irondequoit Public Library is dedicated to enriching the quality of life in the Town by providing quality customer services and lifelong learning opportunities. The excellent collections of books and materials in other formats are focused to meet the informational, educational, and recreational needs and interests of Irondequoit residents.

Planning & Zoning
The Planning and Zoning division is responsible for overseeing various land use and zoning processes and activities, including the review of a proposed subdivision of land and site development, modification of the Town’s land use regulations and zoning map, as well as the advancement of environmental stewardship efforts.

Police
The Irondequoit Police Department is the second largest town police force in Monroe County, New York. The officers of the Department protect and preserve the rights of the citizens and property owners of the town.

Public Works
The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining Irondequoit’s public infrastructure, which includes residential streets, sidewalks, trees located in the right of way, stormwater conveyance system, sanitary sewer systems, and parks.

Irondequoit Recreation will improve the quality of life in Irondequoit through a sustainable park system, a variety of recreation programs, special events, and historical preservation.
