Good Neighbor Award

About

The Good Neighbor Award is presented by the Town Supervisor and Town Board members to Irondequoit residents who go out of their way to exhibit selfless and considerate deeds.

Irondequoit is widely acknowledged as a philanthropic and hospitable town and we want to recognize those individuals who have gone above and beyond to help their neighbors.

If you have been the lucky recipient of a thoughtful act by an Irondequoit resident, submit your nomination and have your Good Neighbor recognized at an upcoming Town Board meeting (every 3rd Tuesday at 7pm at Town Hall).

How to Nominate

Submit your contact information, your Good Neighbor’s contact information, and the reason for your nomination, via email to the Supervisor's Office.

After you submit your nomination, a Town Hall staff member will contact you and your nominee with logistical information.

There is no limit on the number of people you can nominate, or on the number of times, an individual can be nominated.

Criteria

Criteria are few and simple:

  • This Good Neighbor must be an Irondequoit resident.
  • Nominations may be anonymous but we would like you to instead consider attending the Town Board meeting and personally sharing your story about this Good Neighbor.
  • The awardee will also be invited to receive such prestigious recognition in person.
