Town of Irondequoit Front Step Project

Front Step Project Announcement

New Program Helping Irondequoit Homeowners and First-Responders Stay Safe!

The Town of Irondequoit’s Front Step Project is making home entry improvements that will improve the safety of first responders and expedite emergency services for town residents!

This repair work was made possible through American Rescue Plan Act funds for those residents who met specific qualifications. The grants allow repairs that include sidewalks, porches, hand railings, gutter improvements and trimming and/or removal of overgrown shrubbery that can often hide house numbers and impair the ability to enter homes.

“The Front Step Project is just one example of how the Town of Irondequoit has utilized federal funds to improve safety and enhance our community,” said Irondequoit Town Supervisor, Rory Fitzpatrick. “Many homeowners are extremely satisfied with the results, and we thank them for sharing their before and after photos with us!”

NOTE: The Front Step Project has reached its limit, and we are no longer accepting applications. Please refer to our town website @irondequoit.gov to keep updated on grant opportunities in the future.
